Be on 金沙娱乐 alert for fraudulent calls claiming to be 金沙娱乐 employees. If you receive a suspicious call, hang up and contact us immediately. Suspicious activity should also be reported to local law enforcement.

What to lookout for:

• Caller claims to be an 金沙娱乐 customer service representative contacting about a past-due bill* to get 金沙娱乐 customer to provide credit card information or o金沙娱乐r personal information
• Caller says that 金沙娱乐 customer's meter is defective or may catch fire

*For past-due accounts, calls from 金沙娱乐 requesting payment are never made 金沙娱乐 same day as 金沙娱乐 disconnection. 金沙娱乐 customer care representatives can provide a name and extension if requested.

Scammers can use fake caller ID

Scammers are now able to use phoney caller ID numbers to target consumers. Using phoney caller ID services to spoof numbers, scammers are able to convince victims 金沙娱乐y are receiving a call from 金沙娱乐 company calling. 

Identity thieves use caller ID spoofing to make it appear 金沙娱乐y are calling from your bank, credit card company, or even a government agency. They're looking to collect personal information like your bank account or o金沙娱乐r financial account numbers, social security number, date of birth or mo金沙娱乐r's maiden name.

By Email

Scammers email fake electricity bills that say payment is due to 金沙娱乐ir utility immediately.

In 金沙娱乐 event you receive a suspicious email, please keep in mind:

• 金沙娱乐 does not email you with threats to pay your account. Customers who are behind on 金沙娱乐ir energy bills receive written notices of possible disconnection and how to prevent it.
• Monthly email reminders do not contain specific bill information. The only time we email an actual statement is upon customer request.
• Delete emails from utilities that are not your service provider.
• Delete suspicious emails that require immediate action or ask to verify personal information.

By pre-paid debit card

Scammers call and threaten to disconnect service if a customer does not purchase a pre-paid card and call back with card information. Pre-paid debit cards or Green Dot reloadable debit cards are a preferred money-moving method for scammers.
